This foundation gives hearing aids to those who cannot afford it. You can download an application from their website or call 1-800-648-4327 for more ifnromation.

Unfortunately, there are no grants for small businesses in the United States. Unlike the myths that some perpetuate, federal government and even private foundations hardly give grant money for a for-profit business.

Nonetheless, you can go to the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) http://www.cfda.gov and Grants.gov http://www.grants.gov – these are two sites created by the federal government to provide transparency and information on grants. Browse through the listings and see if you can find any grant that would support a for-profit venture.

Even if you buy books on “how to get grants” or list that supposedly has information on grants — all of them are mere rehash of what CFDA has, albeit packaged differently. But still the info is the same – hardly any grants for starting a for profit business.

As a teacher, I like to know as much as I can about my students to make their time at school the best it can be. I think you should let the teacher know all these things. Especially things that aggravate his asthma, etc. Also info on changing the battery in his hearing aid, what sounds he is sensitive to, etc. Do not be embarrassed or hesitant. That is why the teacher is there! Have fun tomorrow when meeting the teacher!

Hey sweetie, sorry to tell you, but everyone only needs one cochlear implant. I don’t think anyone has ever had two implants. Your hearing is fine now, that is as good as it will get. you can wear your hearing aid in the other ear and that will help some.
